Spectacular sunny skies, temperatures in the low 80s and a steady 10-15 knots of sailing breeze filled log book pages, feedback forms and guaranteed this festival goes down as "best weather ever". While a day or two of beautiful weather is not uncommon in September, a week is rare indeed.

Pax, the 1936 28 foot Danish Spidsgatter featured in the 2007 Wooden Boat Festival Boatyard Stage and owned by Kaci Cronkhite, splashed at Point Hudson Marina after a 6 month stay on the hard at Sea Marine. A total of 6 marine trades businesses are currently involved in various parts of the restoration. Lead shipwright, Diana Talley of Taku Marine along with apprentice Amy Schaub (2007 graduate of the NW School of Wooden Boatbuilding) replaced two rotten 70 year old larch pine sawn frames and sistered 5 broken ribs with oak.
